Our Story So Far ....

We started searching for just the right site to plant a vineyard in 2002, and eventually found our property at Chapman Hill in 2003. Our Whicher Ridge brand ideas crystallised into a plan to build up a range of five regional wines for release in 2009.

After much research (involving wine tasting of course!), in 2004 and 2005 we planted three of Bordeaux's great varieties, sauvignon blanc, petit verdot and cabernet sauvignon, as well as a lesser known Rhone variety, viognier in our Odyssey Creek vineyard.

We decided that our Whicher Ridge shiraz and riesling would come from the Frankland River region, and after searching for just the right vineyard we found one in 2008 where we could source both of these varieties.

Next step was to have full control over how we made our wines, so we bit the financial bullet, and built a small winery next to our vineyard in March 2009. 

Our wine range is slowly but surely evolving, and building in strength. Our first release wines in 2008 were a 2007 Margaret River Shiraz and a 2008 Geographe Sauvignon Blanc. We released our first Frankland River Riesling in 2009.

In 2011, our range has grown and now includes the 2010 Frankland River Riesling, 2009 Geographe Sauvignon Blanc, 2009 Geographe Viognier, 2008 Elevation Cabernet Sauvignon, and 2008 Frankland River Shiraz.

In 2012, we are planning the release of a Margaret River Chardonnay.
