You will find this review by Campbell Mattinson and Gary Walsh on page 116 of their recently released book, The Big Red Wine Book 2009/10. We would be delighted too if this wine found a fan base!
"Whicher Ridge Shiraz 2007 RELEASE
Note to self: must find out more about this producer. We hadn't heard of Whicher Ridge before tasting this wine, but it's a real good 'un. It has the mix of cool-climate, spicy, peppery notes and ripe, warm, curranty oomph just about perfect, the only demerit being the roll of tannin through the finish - it's just a touch clumsy. The flavours, though, are beautiful (while lightish), and we'd be delighted if it found a fan base. DRINK 2009 -2013. Score 89/100"
